november 30ieth

After checking out the photographers take pictures at various locations around Witzenhausen such as the local organic brewery, the factory for chewing tobacco, an ecological village, cattle farms, or the woods. It takes quite some effort for the photographers to cope with the cold.
Around 3 p.m. Peter, the driver of our tour bus, takes us to Berlin where we arrive around 9 p.m., discuss further plans and prepare for the next days at the last station of the roadtrip. Some of the group go for a drink and the first impression of Berlin, Kreuzberg.

november 29th

In the morning the participants inform theirselves about options for shooting locations around Witzenhausen. Andy and Christophe go for an organic farm and a recycling plant, Enrico and Yasin focus on the greenhouse for tropical plants, Simin and Lin have a tour in a gypsum plant, Rafik and Randa visit a wastewater treatment plant, Thinh explores the surroundings and the cultural life of the village and Atdhe portrays inhabitants from different generations.

november 28th

After breakfast the participates gather at the seminar room in the Landesmuseum Bonn and work on their first results. Selected photos are printed and arranged on display. The whole group discusses the pictures and the theme complexes behind it. Before we get on the bus to Witzenhausen around 2 p.m., some of the photographers head for the city in order to gather some more material. On the road the photographers stay alert and at various occasions get up to take pictures of the passing landscape.
In the evening we arrive at the Burghotel Witzenhausen where, after our host welcomes us personally, we have dinner together.

november 27th

First day of shooting. The photographers group up and go on their quest. Focussing on industry, Andy, Atdhe and Christophe take their pictures at the Zeche Zollverein Essen, one of the largest coal mine industry complexes in Europe that was shut down in the 1990ies and has been declared to Cultural World Heritage.
The other participants explore the city of Bonn.
All photographers face the same problem: Except from the Christmas market there are almost no people on the streets.

november 25th

The participants of the workshop arrive in Bonn. Around 7 p.m. we meet in the lobby and get acquainted. All participants meet for the first time, except Yasin and Enrico who already know each other from a photographer workshop in India.
Ralf picks us up and we head for a local pub, the Brauhaus Bönnsch, with Kölsch beer, where Mula catches up.
